The Common Good Journey
'I want to partner with the poor, the vulnerable, the marginalised... but where do I begin? How do I get involved; who do I speak to?
This question is frequently raised by Common Grounders. And so to help everyone get involved and in on the action, the common good foundation will be facilitating a 20-day-long action-packed common good journey – a brilliant opportunity for all potential 'common do-gooders' to notice the issues in our city and explore ways in which to respond.
From 7 to 27 March, you'll have the opportunity to explore our Eastern Suburbs (the townships) meet our innkeepers (the people who run the NGOs we partner with), fast and pray for our city and your role in serving it, and hear inspiring stories from people who have had the courage to step out and help and who will never be the same again. And if none of that floats your boat – then perhaps hearing Bono, from U2 speak will do the trick!
