Growing your church

As leaders of churches, we must never allow our churches to stop growing! There are three reasons for this:

1) Because God loves people.
See 2 Peter 3:9 and 2 Corinthians 5:14.
2) Because God commands us to reach out. See Luke 14:23 and John 17:18.
3) Because growth is God's will. See Colossians 2:19 and Matthew 16:18.

Sadly there has been an unhealthy movement that emphasized church growth through discovering special 'techniques' - but this movement has largely waned, and has been replaced by a new movement of church growth that emphasizes missiogical faithfulness, careful thoughtfulness, having the right heart, and the over-all health of the church.

Although, we as a church do not necessarily endorse nor practise all that the following articles commend, we still find it helpful to regularly expose ourselves to those researchers or practitioners who give attention to growing churches through conversion growth.
